Chelsea Plan To Hijack City’s Balotelli Bid

For the past week it’s looked very likely that Manchester City would be the club to sign Mario Balotelli but it has today emerged that City’s deal faces last minute competition from Chelsea.

It seems that Inter have lost hope of keeping Balotelli and are now looking to play a numbers game in a bid to up the transfer fee for their hot-headed striker. Massimo Moratti president of the Italian giants has stated that a deal has not yet been agreed between City and Inter “At this moment there are contacts with Manchester City, but we must find an agreement that satisfies both us and them”, Moratti later added “we are evaluating other offers”

City manager Roberto Mancini is becoming increasingly frustrated with his attempts to sign the striker as he believes City are being held to ransom with a price yet to be agreed.

Meanwhile it’s business as usual for Balotelli as he gets back to pre-season training and winding up his team mates.
