Brian Kidd, Manchester City Assistant Manager has challenged Mario Balotellu and Edin Dzeko to match team-mates Carlos Tevez.
Mario, made his comeback from a knee injury in the Champions League against Aris Salonika and his hoping to add to his impressive start, scoring 8 goals in 12 games.
Brian Kidd said:
“Carlos has always stepped up to the plate – and he’s a fantastic player,”
“But if you go through the clubs who have been successful, invariably they’ve had four strikers who will be competing for places.”
With Mario returning, this will add more depth and flair to the City strike-force, in the big push for a trophy.
“Mario has had that wee problem with his knee and it appears everything has been sorted now. He’s another great talent,” Kidd told reporters.
“We’re blessed with good players and I think we’ve got a really good squad, no doubt about it.”
Mario Balotelli has been ruled out of Manchester City’s second leg Europa League match against Romanian side Timisoara.
